Dental crowns, bridges and veneers

The dental crown confirms the tooth and returns its original color and shape.

Crowns are made for functional or aesthetic reasons.
For example, if there are large fillings in the tooth, it can prevent it from breaking. With a pin and a crown, a broken tooth can often be built up. If the tooth is discolored, or not aligned with the others, we can also use crowns to correct aesthetic mistakes. The crown is a “tooth-shaped cap” that is attached to a chewy or aesthetically inadequate tooth. The prosthesis fits the remaining stem of the prepared tooth, thus confirming it and returning the original natural shape and color of the tooth.

  • Porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM) crown:

During the process, a metal cap is poured onto the brushed head, and this special metal is covered with tooth-colored ceramics. This ceramic completely covers the metal, making it aesthetically pleasing. It also meets the highest requirements of biocompatibility and aesthetics when the metal cap is made of precious metal. These crowns are stable, long lasting, the ceramic blanket is color-fast, providing a high aesthetic effect.

  • Zircon-Ceramic crown (metal free):

The metal skeleton is replaced by a zirconia frame. It is white and lighter than the metal ceramic crowns, so much more aesthetic results can be achieved. The zirconium oxide frame is strong so it can be made of bridges.

The optical and physical properties of zirconium oxide provide an adequate basis for the work of the dental technician, so practically it is not possible to distinguish a zircon replacement from the true tooth. Zirconium oxide meets the requirements of the most stringent implantology, so the soft tissue tissue is excellent, so the gum is perfectly healthy for the crown and / around the bridges.

  • Full porcelain “E-max” crown (metal free):

In the case where no metallic cap is made of the polished tooth, we are talking about metal-free or complete ceramic crowns. As there is no metal present, and ceramic itself has a high luminous capacity, it also meets high aesthetic requirements. Nowadays, it is the most perfect, tissue-friendly, most veritable denture.

The most beautiful, natural results can be achieved with this material. Not only beautiful but strong, but not for bridges, only for crowns

Dental bridges

Crowns and bridges are the most commonly used fixed prostheses that can be made on brushed teeth or implant stubs – from various materials.

It is a tooth replacement, but it looks like a separate teeth. It relies on pillars, bridges on the lack of teeth. Pillars can be real teeth and implants. It is only recommended if the pillars are strong, those are the right teeth or implants, becouse if one of the pillars is damaged, the whole bridge must be replaced.

  • Porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM) bridge

The inner metal frame serves to reinforce the bridge, and ceramic is covered the metal frame. Ceramics are developed by dental technicians in an artistry way, so we can pass realistic teeth to our patients. The metal frame can consist of nickel-free chromium alloy (no allergies) or gold alloy, which increases the accuracy of the bridge’s closure, so it is more durable.

The same procedure as the ceramic covered crown, but in case of replacement of several teeth, a metal frame, ie bridge, is made. In the bridge, each member can be clamped to a brushed tooth.

  • Zircon-ceramic bridge (metal free):

In this case, the zirconium oxide skeleton replaces the metal skeleton, which is equally strong and resistant. White color, nicer, more natural results can be achieved with it.

Metal-free dental prosthesis

Metal-free prostheses are made without the use of metal: the skeleton is replaced with zirconium oxide or lithium disilicate, which has similar properties to the original tooth. It is light-transmissive and thus has a natural effect on the mouth, in contrast to the matte appearance of the metal ceramic crowns.

Metal-free prostheses are generally recommended in front teeth, where aesthetic appearance is of particular importance. Recommended for crowns, or bridges (2 or 3 members).

Metal-free crowns are biocompatible, recommended for metal allergies or metal-sensitive. Metal-free dental prostheses avoid the gingival grayness.

Porcelain veneers „E-max” (dental veneers)

Ultra-thin ceramic shells with the least amount of enamel are best used in front teeth. It is completely metal-free, durable and today is the most veritable prosthesis.

Dental veneers are made of 100% porcelain. A veneer is a ceramic film for the purpose of changing the color or shape of a tooth. The veneers let us to correct minor cosmetic imperfections. Their advantage is that we have to cut less tooth material compared to the preparation of a dental crown. 100% porcelain veneers provide the best aesthetic result with a natural look.

The porcelain shell is a thin, glass-like, high-strength porcelain layer on the outer surface of the tooth, whereby the dentist can create a natural, uniform and brilliant smile. This technology is mainly used in frontal teeth: broken, twisted, cracked, damaged, or aesthetically disturbing, such as too short teeth. It can also be used after rooting, if the discolored teeth can not be cured with internal whitening. Technology is also referred to as an alternative to the orthodontic, as it can be perfectly aligned with 1-2 dentures.

The biggest advantage of the ceramic shell is that it does not have to grind the tooth, removed a lot of valuable toothparts with this, only the tooth visible, front surface shaping is it  needed. Another advantage of the ceramic shell is that it is completely metal-free and can therefore be used in metallic allergic patients. The treatment is completely painless and in a short time you can achieve a spectacular result.
